LONELINESS HAUNTS...

1 at night on a lonely street, In Nature's breath, the winter's breeze. An easy wind with chill around, Not a single soul there dearth be found.

All vigor spent And mind so tired, An exhausting day And this fleeting isolation was all I desired.

Chaos in my mind dying out Made me think, Was this desire only to comfort yesterday's fink.

Or for it, Have I long longed Afraid... As loneliness haunts.

Yet again I could feel my pumping heart, With a hole In my chest once strong, weakened, Being alone.

In a moment's blink, I felt a sudden eeriness taking over me, Feet trembling, My chest as void as it could be.

1 at night on a lonely street, Wind brushed past my hair and skin, Numbed emotions, despair and it's kin, Scared!! , as I have never been.

I saw myself on that street, Even In darkness where nothing could sleek , A deep shadow of my shallow soul, Which stood there still with abyss's mourn. I could feel again a haunting hush, It wasn't just fear it was panic's rush,

I heard something?! , but not a soul around! It was my shadow, that made a sound.
